COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 19 Ohio State women’s volleyball team heads to State College, Pa. to face No. 10 Penn State on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Buckeyes extended their undefeated record to 11-0 with a pair of victories at Rutgers. Ohio State opened the series with a 3-1 triumph on Friday and secured a hard-fought 3-2 win on Saturday. The Buckeyes are in sole possession of first place in the Big Ten standings.
HISTORIC SWEEP
It was a great day to be a Buckeye on Monday when Emily Londot, Rylee Rader and Mac Podraza swept the conference’s weekly honors. Londot was the Big Ten Player and Co-Freshman of the Week, sharing the freshman recognition with Rader, who was also tabbed as the defensive player of the week. Podraza earned setter of the week laurels. Ohio State is the first team to sweep the weekly accolades since the Big Ten began awarding all four honors in 2012.
SCOUTING PENN STATE
Penn State (4-3) had the previous week off after its series with Maryland was postponed. The Nittany Lions last saw action when they picked up two wins against Indiana. Penn State ranks fifth in the Big Ten with a .256 hitting percentage and sixth in kills per set (13.07).
HISTORY WITH THE NITTANY LIONS
Ohio State is 17-50 in its all-time series with Penn State, dating back to 1981. The Buckeyes hosted the Nittany Lions on Feb. 17 and completed a reverse sweep to clinch a 3-2 win. It was the first victory against a ranked opponent this season and under head coach Jen Flynn Oldenburg.
NATIONAL RECOGNITION
Ohio State remains at No. 19 in the AVCA Division I Coaches Top-25 Poll for the second consecutive week.
BIG TEN RANKINGS
The Buckeyes currently sit at No. 3 in the Big Ten with 13.93 kills, 12.54 assists and a .259 hitting percentage. Ohio State has held its opponents to a .170 attacking clip, which also ranks third, while its 14.41 digs stands fourth. Individually, Mac Podraza’s 10.37 assists (4th), Rylee Rader’s .396 hitting rate (5th), Kylie Murr’s 4.02 digs (5th), Emily Londot’s 3.76 kills (6th) and Lauren Witte’s 1.22 blocks (7th) ranks among the conference’s leaders.
