Game Basics

No. 4 Ohio State and Michigan State meet at 9 p.m. Thursday at the Breslin Center in East Lansing. This game rounds out the season series. Ohio State won in Columbus, 79-62, Jan. 31.
Chris Holtmann’s teams are 2-4 vs. Michigan State. The Spartans own the all-time series lead 72-58. Michigan State is 43-17 in East Lansing and 17-5 while playing in the Breslin Center. Ohio State is 38-24 in Columbus and 8-7 at VCA.
When ranked among the Top 25 in the Associated Press poll, Ohio State is 23-15 vs. Michigan State. Six Buckeyes entered the 2020-21 season with experience against the Spartans, though none with more than three games. Junior Duane Washington Jr. leads Ohio State in the series with 14.0 points per game.
The game against the Spartans will be the final regular-season road game of the season for the Buckeyes. Ohio State ends the season with two games in Columbus. First a 4 p.m. game Feb. 28 vs. No. 9 Iowa (CBS) and then a matchup with No. 5 Illinois March 6. Game time has not been announced for that contest.
