
Podraza Named Big Ten Setter of the Week

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Big Ten Conference released its weekly volleyball awards on Monday. Junior setter Mac Podraza was named Big Ten Setter of the Week following her play at Rutgers and Maryland last week. This is the third time this season that Podraza has earned Big Ten Setter of the Week honors.
Podraza was extremely efficient in the Buckeyes’ sweeps at Rutgers and Maryland to end the regular season. Podraza averaged 14.50 assists per set (87 total) through the two matches, adding 1.83 digs per set and hitting 4-of-7 without an error (.571).
At Rutgers, Podraza tallied 47 assists at a 51.1 percent clip and added five digs, two kills (.500) and one block. At Maryland, she totaled 40 assists at 47.1 percent and also had six digs, two kills (.667) and a block. Podraza surpassed 2,600 career assists against the Terps. This season, Podraza has averaged 11.97 assists per set (1,185 total) and 2.64 digs per set (261 total), adding 62 blocks and 52 kills.
