COLUMBUS, Ohio –The No. 10 Ohio State women’s swimming and diving team picked up its third dual win of the year on Thursday afternoon, defeating Akron by a score of 228-91 at the Oliver J. Ocasek Natatorium. The Buckeyes finished their first away meet of the season with 15 event wins over the Zips.

Meet Notes
- Ohio State won 15 of the 17 events contested on Thursday.
- With a final score of 350.85, Mackenzie Crawford set a Oliver J. Ocasek Natatorium record on the 3-meter board. The previous record was 349.60 set in 2014.
- Freshman Paige Hall and sophomore Maya Geringer earned their first collegiate wins of their careers on Thursday against Akron. Hall touched the wall in 2:00.01 to win the 200 Back while Geringer raced a 10:07.63 to win the 1000 Free.
- Earning a final score of 306.38 in the 1-meter Dive, Amanda Ling earned her first event win for the Buckeyes. The junior led the contingent of divers that swept the 1-meter board.
- In addition to the 1-meter Dive, Ohio State finished 1-2-3 in the 500 Free, 100 Free, 200 Free, 50 Free and 1000 Free.
- Two Buckeyes raced NCAA B Standard times against the Zips. Josie Panitz’s time of 2:12.59 in the 200 Breast and 1:01.62 in the 100 Breast were good for NCAA B cuts. Katherine Zenick, who already earned a B standard time in the first meet of the year, improved her time in the 100 Fly this season to 53.73.
- Buckeye divers Jackie Brenn, Ciara McGing, Ling and Crawford each earned NCAA Zone qualifying scores in both the 1-meter and 3-meter Dives.
