COLUMBUS, Ohio – K.J. Hill, Ohio State’s all-time leading pass catcher with 201 career receptions, was selected in the seventh round of the NFL Draft Saturday by the Los Angeles Chargers with the fourth pick of the round and the overall 220th pick. He is the ninth Ohio State player to hear his named called so far in this annual draft that is being held virtually this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
A five-year member of the Ohio State football program, Hill cemented himself as one of the all-time greats during his senior season. His name is prominent through the career record books as he’s first all-time in receptions (201) and sixth in receiving yards (2,332). His streak of 48 consecutive games with a reception is tied with Gary Williams for the longest in program history.
