
Jashon Cornell 10th Ohio State Buckeye Selected in NFL Draft

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State defensive tackle Jashon Cornell, who played in 46 games and earned two bachelor’s degrees, was drafted in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions. Cornell is the third Buckeye selected by the Lions and the seventh member of Ohio State’s outstanding, national-leading defense in 2019 to be drafted. He was the 236th overall selection.

Six Double Digit Drafts for Ohio State
Cornell is the 10th Ohio State Buckeye selected in this year’s draft, giving the program six drafts all-time with 10 or more draft picks, led by the 14 picks in 2004 and 13 in both 1971 and 1975. The other double digit drafts for Ohio State came in 2016 (12 picks) and 1976 (11).
