COLUMBUS, Ohio – Jonah Jackson, a 14-game starter for Ohio State in 2019 after joining the program as a graduate transfer, was selected by the Detroit Lions in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Jackson was the 75th overall selection of this draft and the sixth Buckeye selected.

Jackson, who came to Ohio State after playing three seasons and graduating from Rutgers, started each game last season for the Buckeyes at left guard and was a first-team All-Big Ten selection by the coaches and third team Associated Press All-American. His play enabled the Ohio State offense to produce the program’s first-ever 2,000-yard rusher (J.K. Dobbins) and a Heisman Trophy finalist at quarterback (Justin Fields). The Buckeyes finished in the top 10 nationally in total offense (529.9 yards/game), rushing offense (266.8 yards/game) and scoring offense (46.9 points/game).
