
DaVon Hamilton Selected in Third Round by Jacksonville

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Defensive tackle DaVon Hamilton, one of the anchors of Ohio State’s top-ranked defense in 2019 that helped it win its third consecutive Big Ten title, was selected in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was the 73rd overall selection in this year’s draft.
Hamilton, the second Ohio State defensive linemen taken this year and the fourth defensive player, put together the best statistical year of his career in 2019. He had 10.5 tackles-for-loss (for 52 yards), six quarterback sacks and 28 total tackles for the defense that ranked No. 1 in total defense, No. 1 in passing defense, No. 4 in scoring and No. 9 against the run. He was a third team All-Big Ten selection by both the coaches and media.
