Twelve Buckeyes Earn Academic All-Big Ten Recognition

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Twelve members of the Ohio State women’s volleyball team, the second-most among the 14 Big Ten institutions, received Academic All-Big Ten honors, the conference announced Thursday.
To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, student-athletes must be on a varsity team, as verified by being on the official squad list as of Nov. 1 for fall sports, who have been enrolled full-time at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
In all, Ohio State had a school-record 120 honorees. The sports included are field hockey, football, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s soccer and women’s volleyball.
Seniors Hannah Gruensfelder, Becca Mauer and Lauren Witte led the Buckeyes after earning the recognition for the third time. It is the second time senior Jordan Fry and juniors Vanja Bukilic, Mia Grunze, Camryn Moeller and Adria Powell have received the honor.
