Another chapter of Ohio State football has just begun and it certainly started with a bang. With a packed crowd, a new head coach, a stellar quarterback debut, and Brutus back in his home, the Buckeyes put on a show that you never want to miss.
Take a visual tour of the festivities that encompassed the season opener.
BEST FANS IN THE LAND!!!
The best fans in the land are back and boy did we miss you. There is no better feeling in the world than seeing all of Buckeye Nation come together and Saturday was another example of that.

Justin Field(s) Day
Saturday’s season opener marked the long awaited debut of quarterback Justin Fields, and the freshman didn’t disappoint. Moments into his first drive, Fields broke loose for a 51-yard touchdown run that ignited the home fans. From there, Fields added four touchdowns in the air and showed why he was worth the wait.

Jeremy Ruckert’s Breakout
Ruckert had more than just a career day. Not only did Ruckert grab his first career touchdown in the first half, but he followed that effort with another in the second half. You guessed it! That would make this his first career multiple touchdown game. Ruckert establishing himself early for the buckeyes is clearly a great sign for the rest of the season.

Coming together
With a new coach and a new quarterback, it was important to see this team come together and gel. Saturday, we saw that.

Brutus is back in his happy place
There is no place like home, especially for Brutus. This first game at The Shoe meant it was time for Brutus to put on a show.

… And don’t forget the dub!
Ohio State led the entirety of the game and took down FAU 45-21. After a quick 28-0 start to the game, the Buckeyes never looked back and set themselves up for the rest of this exciting season.
