The Warden
During the Browns’ most crucial stretch of the season, CB Denzel Ward put up perhaps the best performance of his career. In Sunday’s first quarter, he snagged an INT and scored his first defensive touchdown as a pro. With Ward’s pick-six, Cleveland defeated division foe Cincinnati 27-19 to avoid official playoff elimination. He also totaled five tackles for his second-highest mark in a game this year. Terry’s Terrific Top-10 Grab
Just as he appears second on this list, Redskins WR Terry McLaurin’s magnificent TD catch appeared as the No. 2 play on SportsCenter. It came in the fourth quarter of his team’s 20-15 loss in Green Bay, and finished his four-catch, 57-yard afternoon. McLaurin is up to six touchdown grabs this season, ranking him highly among the best rookie receivers in the game. (Image courtesy: redskins.com)

Big Easy Buckeyes
New Orleans and San Francisco played what could go down as the game of the year in the NFL, and two Buckeyes-turned-Saints showed up in some of its most significant moments. WR Michael Thomas caught 11 passes, one of which went for a touchdown to shrink his team’s deficit to one score. He also amassed 134 yards, and did it just days after being named the NFC’s Offensive Player of the Month. Defensively, SAF Vonn Bell turned in another reliable performance with 12 total tackles (eight solo, four assisted) and a TFL. Bell’s critical sack held the 49ers to a field goal and allowed New Orleans to take a late lead. Despite the 48-46 shootout loss for the Saints, these two stars continued their stellar seasons. Big sack by Vonn Bell. Could not have come at a bigger time. Saints use a timeout.

Big Bear, Always in the Backfield
Chargers DE Joey Bosa obliterated Jacksonville’s blocking scheme on Sunday to the tune of four solo tackles, three tackles for loss, and two sacks. As a result, LA’s defense held the Jags to 10 points and snapped a three-game losing streak. Not to mention the elder Bosa recorded the 11th multi-sack game of his career and surpassed 10 sacks for the third time in four NFL seasons. (Image courtesy: chargers.com)

One-Catch Wonder
On Sunday against Houston, Broncos TE Jeff Heuerman’s registered his sixth game this season with a catch. He only had one in Denver’s 38-24 win. It went for eight yards and resulted in six points. With that catch, Heuerman nabbed his first TD of the season and the fifth of his four-year career, and helped his Broncos win consecutive games for the second time this season. Ebner’s Extra Effort
As a primarily special teamer for the Patriots, DB Nate Ebner doesn’t get a lot of publicity. That story changed for this week for a couple reasons. One, his blocked a punt against the Chiefs led to a New England touchdown. His team lost 23-16, but still sits among the best in the AFC thanks to stellar defensive and special teams efforts all season. Two, he and fellow Buckeye-turned-Patriot John Simon trolled two teammates from TTUN. It’s nothing new, really, but it’s marvelous nonetheless. (Image courtesy: patriots.com)

Zeke Still Eats
The last former Buckeye mentioned this week played in Week 14’s first game. Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott took the mighty Bears defense to task Thursday night for 81 yards on 19 carries and his first multi-touchdown game this season. Despite Dallas’ 31-24 loss, Thursday’s two-score performance helped Zeke surpass 1,000 yards for the season. He’s now accomplished that feat three of his four years in the league.
