COLUMBUS, Ohio – Sammy Sasso became the third ‘black shirt’ for Ohio State wrestling, following in the footsteps of team captains Kollin Moore and Luke Pletcher. Earning the black shirt signifies that Sasso is conducting himself the right way on and off the mat.
Only individuals deserving of elite distinction are bestowed a black shirt and earn the privilege of wearing black inside the Jennings Wrestling Facility. Sasso now also will be assisting the coaching staff in determining future ‘black shirt worthy’ teammates.
Sasso will be one of many Buckeyes competing in the Michigan State Open on Saturday, Nov. 2, the official start of season #100 for Ohio State wrestling.
