J.K. Dobbins rushed for 163 yards and two touchdowns while Justin Fields rushed for a score and threw for two more to lead Ohio State (8-0, 5-0) to a 38-7 win over Wisconsin (6-2, 3-2) Saturday at Ohio Stadium.
Ohio State scored touchdowns on five of its final seven drives to turn a 10-0 lead into a 31-point win. The Badgers punted seven times and fumbled twice on 11 total drives.
Chase Young recorded four sacks to tie an Ohio State record as the Buckeyes defense held the Badgers to 191 yards of total offense, including 83 on ground. Young also forced a pair of fumbles that each led to Ohio State second-half touchdowns for the Buckeyes. He recorded six total tackles, all solo efforts, to go with five tackles for loss.
Fields finished with 167 yards passing, completing 12-22 passes. He also rushed for 28 yards on 13 carries.
Chris Olave led the Ohio State receivers with seven catches for 93 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Dobbins also had three grabs for 58 yards.
Ohio State has next weekend off before playing host to Maryland Nov. 9. Game time for that game has not been determined.
In a steady rain, neither team was able to generate significant offense in the first quarter. In three drives, the Badgers gained a total of 59 yards while the Buckeyes totaled 40.
Yards remained hard to come by in the second quarter for both teams. The defenses prevailed until the Buckeyes drove 41 yards on 12 plays to set up a 49-yard Blake Haubeil field goal with 6:52 to play in the half to put Ohio State up 3-0.
The Buckeyes scored the first touchdown of the game with under a minute left in the half on a 37-yard pass from Justin Fields to Chris Olave. The drive covered 85 yards on eight plays to give Ohio State a 10-0 lead at the half.
The Badgers punted five times in the first half and had four first downs. Wisconsin totaled 72 yards, 46 via the rush. Ohio State totaled 180 yards over the first 30 minutes. Dobbins led the way with 51 yards on 11 carries. Fields finished 8 of 14 through the air for 109 yards and one score.
Defensively, Ohio State’s Chase Young led the way with four tackles, all solos, with a pair of sacks and three tackles for loss.

The Badgers scored on its first possession of the second half after Wisconsin blocked an Ohio State punt. Wisconsin started on the Buckeyes 30 and three plays later scored on a 26-yard touchdown pass to make it 10-7 Buckeyes.
Ohio State responded to retake a 10-point lead with an eight-play, 75-yard drive that culminated with a 10-yard Fields touchdown run with 9:34 left in the third quarter. Olave made a pair of key receptions in the drive, one for 22 yards and another for 11. Dobbins also had a 28-yard rush to set up Fields for the score from the Wisconsin 10.
The Badgers were forced to punt on its next possession. Ohio State’s Garrett took a 46-yard Badger punt 23 yards to the OSU 47. The Buckeyes then drove 53 yards to take a 24-7 lead on a 9-yard Dobbins scoring run with 6:28 left in the third. Dobbins also had a 34-yard rush during the drive.
Young sacked Wisconsin’s Jack Coan on fourth down forcing a fumble recovered by Pete Werner at the OSU 45. It was Young’s third sack of the game.
