On what impresses him about KJ Hill:
He’s definitely easy to read. I worked with him a lot in the summer and off-season, so I definitely know where he’s going to be at all times. He’s very smart. I think he’s one of the smarter receivers we have when it comes to finding those zones and finding those places where the defenders are. He’s really good at doing that and he’s really good at route running. He’s just a great all-around receiver.

CHAMPIONS, PLAYERS OF THE GAME SELECTED VS. NORTHWESTERN
Following its 52-3 win last Friday night at Northwestern, Ohio State’s coaching staff has selected its champions and players of the game. Thirteen players graded out as champions on offense while 12 did so on defense. The players of the game were QB Justin Fields, LG Jonah Jackson, LB Malik Harrison and K Blake Haubeil.
JEFF OKUDAH NAMED PAYCOM JIM THORPE AWARD SEMIFINALIST
Junior cornerback Jeff Okudah, whose play is a major reason why Ohio State is 7-0 and has the nation’s No. 2-ranked statistical defense, was today chosen as one of 14 semifinalists for the 2019 Paycom Jim Thorpe Award, which is awarded annually to the best defensive back in college football.

• J.K. Dobbins is 53 yards away from becoming the first running back in program history with 1,000-yard seasons as a freshman, sophomore and junior.
• The Buckeyes have outscored their opponents 158-20 in the second quarter of their seven games this season.
• Ohio State is the first Big Ten team to start a season with seven consecutive wins by 20 points since 1973, when Ohio State began that season with nine such wins.
