COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s volleyball team is back on the Big Ten Network Wednesday night when it hosts Rutgers at 6 p.m. in the Covelli Center.

HISTORY WITH THE SCARLET KNIGHTS
Wednesday’s match will be the second meeting between Ohio State and Rutgers this season. The Buckeyes picked up a 3-0 win over the Scarlet Knights on the road on Oct. 11. Jenaisya Moore returned to the lineup and hit .348 with 10 kills, four digs and a career-high four service aces. As a team, Ohio State had its best showing on the service line with 10 aces. The Buckeyes have an impressive 11-1 advantage in the all-time series, having won the last nine matchups.
SCOUTING REPORT
Rutgers (6-13, 0-8 B1G) is still looking for its first Big Ten win of the season. The Scarlet Knights are on a 10-match skid, having claimed just three sets during that time. Last week, Rutgers fell to Michigan State and Michigan in straight sets. As a team, the Scarlet Knights are second in the conference and 30th nationally with 2.55 blocks per set.
LAST TIME OUT
Ohio State (10-10, 3-5 B1G) split the week with a 3-0 victory over Iowa and 3-2 setback to No. 20 Purdue. Jenaisya Moore and Elle Sandbothe paced the offense against the Hawkeyes with 16 and 12 kills, respectively. Against the Boilermakers, Gabby Gonzales hit .326 and had her first double-double as a Buckeye behind career highs in kills (20) and digs (14). Moore added 16 kills and a career-best seven blocks, including four solo rejections. Becca Mauer added a season-high 50 assists, eight digs, two blocks and two service aces.

Ohio State averages 13.59 kills per set to sit at No. 33 in the national rankings, paced by Jenaisya Moore at 3.66 kills per set. Kylie Murr leads the Big Ten and is 27th in the country behind 5.03 digs per set. Becca Mauer has taken over setting duties and averages 8.35 assists per set. At the net, nine Buckeyes have double-digit blocks – Lauren Witte (48), Elle Sandbothe (47), Mac Podraza (29), Jordan Fry (27), Mia Grunze (18), Moore (17), Adria Powell (17), Gabby Gonzales (12) and Mauer (11).

In Big Ten matches only, Gabby Gonzales is putting up 3.63 kills per set to rank fourth in league. Becca Mauer’s 9.54 assists per set stands ninth while Kylie Murr’s 4.62 digs per set checks in at No. 2.
