COLUMBUS, Ohio – Jaclyn Lee, a senior on the Ohio State women’s golf team has been named Big Ten Co-Golfer of the Week, the conference office announced Wednesday. Lee, who earned the award three previous times in her career, shares the honor with Michigan State’s Ally Geer-Park.
Lee was the medalist through the stroke play portion at East & West Match Play this week at Radrick Farms Golf Club in Ann Arbor, Mich. The senior opened Sunday with a 3-under 69 before a second-round 1-under 71 to finish at 4-under, two strokes ahead of the next-closest competitor. Lee then dominated both of her matches, 5&4 over Samantha Hutchinson of UC Davis Monday, and 5&3 over Susie Cavanagh of Oregon State Tuesday, as Ohio State finished third. It was the second-consecutive year Lee earned medalist honors at the event as she finished her career a perfect 6-0 in match play at East & West.
The Buckeyes take third at East & West Match Play! After @JaclynLee57 was the 36-hole stroke play leader at 4-under, the senior went on to win both of her matches, while @AdeenaShears was the individual match play winner!
