For the first time in program history, Ohio State played two consecutive “road” games at the same site. The Buckeyes ended the 2017 season at AT&T Stadium in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl and opened up its 2018 road schedule at the same stadium.
With 64 yards on 18 carries, Mike Weber eclipsed the 2,000-yard mark for his career.

The 93-yard rush was the longest play from scrimmage allowed by Ohio State in school history. The previous long plays were a 91-yard rush by Iowa’s Larry Ferguson in 1960 and a 90-yard pass play by Purdue’s Rick Trefzger-to-Craig Allen in 1994.
