- The Buckeyes bounced back after a season opening loss to No. 9 Delaware to defeat No. 8 Louisville on Sunday
- The Cardinals jumped out to an early 2-0 lead, but a goal from Courtney Daniels early in the second half cut the deficit to one.
- With just over two minutes left in regulation Sammy Stone scored an equalizer goal to force overtime.
- It didn’t take long for OSU to capitalize on the momentum as Esther Clotet scored the game winner just a minutes and 29 seconds into overtime.
