For Rutgers, Tyler Scaife scored 27 points but took 27 shots. Jazlynd Rollins chipped-in with 14 points.
Harper and Calhoun each made a three and had seven first quarter points to help the Buckeyes build a 22-17 lead. OSU opened the second quarter on a 15-4 run to push the lead to 37-21 and force a Rutgers timeout with 5:30 left until halftime. The margin would be 21 at the break, 51-30, as the Buckeyes were 8-of-15 from beyond arc in the opening half.
The second half was all Buckeyes. They were 7-of-12 shooting in both the third and fourth quarters and held the 20-point margin nearly the entire half. Rutgers got as close at 16 late in the third quarter but never really threatened.
