Elite Invitational Duals Schedule
COLUMBUS, Ohio – After competing in the Penn State Garret Open, the Buckeyes return home to host the Elite Invitational Duals at French Field House. The competition will start at 9 a.m. on both Saturday (Nov 17) and Sunday (Nov 18).
MEET THE COMPETITION
Competing against the Buckeyes this weekend are teams from Notre Dame, Penn State, Cornell, Princeton, UNC, NWU, CSU, and University of Pennsylvania. The Fighting Irish are the reigning NCAA Champions and 6 of the other competing schools placed in the top-25 last season.
LAST YEAR AT THE DUALS
The Buckeyes finished 14-2 last season at the Duals. The team ended with a total of 290 victories over 9 other competing schools. Ohio State concluded the weekend’s events with both the men and women totaling 7 squad victories.
The Buckeyes went undefeated on the first day of competition, ending with 185 victories. The men earned 79 of those victories and the women with an impressive 106 wins. Finishing up the second day of competition, the men’s squad went undefeated and the women’s squad finished 2-2. Ohio State concluded the second day of fencing with a total of 105 victories.
WHAT’S NEXT
The Buckeyes start off 2019 traveling to New York for the St. John’s Duals. The Duals are set to take place on January 19th. The team will then travel to Philadelphia, Pa. for the UPenn Dual Meet on January 20th.
