• The Ohio State-Purdue series dates back to 1919 and Saturday night will be the 56th meeting between the two programs (Ohio State leads, 39-14-2). It will be the first game in the series since 2013.
• Ohio State owns an all-time record of 13-8 in West Lafayette. The last trip to Ross-Ade Stadium was in 2013, a 56-0 shutout. The 2007 contest, like Saturday’s, was played under the lights and resulted in a 23-7 Buckeye victory.

Notable wins: In 1968, No. 4 Ohio State opened the Big Ten season by upsetting No. 1 Purdue, 13-0, in Ohio Stadium. CB Ted Provost had a 35-yard “pick six” and backup QB Bill Long ran for a third quarter touchdown. The ‘68 Buckeyes went on to finish 10-0 and won the national championship.

• Terry McLaurin is 118 yards away from 1,000 receiving yards for his career. He’s poised to give Ohio State its first-ever group of three active WRs with 1,000 career yards.
• Since Urban Meyer’s arrival in 2012, the Buckeyes are 27-2 in true road games. That’s the second most wins away from home in the nation during that span.
• Dwayne Haskins is ranked in the top five nationally in nine of 11 statistical passing catagories. He currently leads the nation with 28 touchdown passes and is No. 3 in yards.
• WR Parris Campbell has 32 receptions over the last four game and is four shy of 100 for his career.
• WR K.J. Hill’s 187-yard effort last week vs. Minnesota was the most receiving yards in a game since Santonio Holmes had 224 vs. Marshall in 2004.
