Isaiah Prince
On the tempo of practice
Even though it’s a Wednesday in the middle of the season we could be tired and be going through the motions, but we’re out here working hard.
On Minnesota’s defense
One of their LBs leads the Big Ten in sacks. They’re pretty good up front. They cover pretty well. It’s a solid defense and we’ll do our best to play great offense.
Jashon Cornell
On defense staying positive throughout injuries
Everybody’s happy, everybody’s smiling. If one guy’s out, the next guy has to be prepared. That’s one thing we stress, the next man up.
Rashod Berry
On how previously playing defense makes him better as a TE
(I know) what the DL is going to do because I’ve been there. It helps me on the blocking side. It helps me know where the linebackers are going to be. It helps me all around.
Robert Landers
On practice this week
We have to keep working on a day-to-day basis. Coming out, going hard, working on enhancing our craft, trying to elevate the things that we did wrong to not make the same mistakes going into next week.
On his role before he was playing
My job was to become a coach, whether I’m playing or having to sit on the sidelines. I’m doing everything that I can to pick up on little indicators to help some of the guys that are in the game to work on what they might be doing wrong or give them tips to enhance their game.
On Davon Hamilton
His game has skyrocketed. I’m proud of the way he’s playing and I can tell he’s a lot more comfortable. Throughout this season you’re going to see his game get higher and higher. I’m proud of what he’s doing and I appreciate the way he’s playing.

Dwayne Haskins
On the Ohio State offense
We have really creative minds with Coach Day and Coach Wilson. Whatever comes to their minds, they draw it up. Today…we went into practice and ran as many plays as we could to see what we like for Saturday. It was a lot of fun.
Tuf Borland
On the defense
The talk this week has been that it’s like you’re chopping at a tree. Just a matter of time before the results start to show. The last few weeks, we’ve had some really good days of practice and it’s about time the results start to show.
Ryan Day
On Dwayne Haskins
He’s done a nice job … but all that’s forgotten if you don’t keep performing every week. We talk about it all the time, not only as quarterbacks but as a whole offense. Now is the time – in the meat of the season – you have to keep working. You have to pile games up and stack them on top of each other at a high level and that’s what makes great offenses: great players and great quarterbacks.
Pete Werner
On Minnesota
They do a good job of double-teaming the guys up front. It’s going to be assignment football. Something that’s not necessarily tough mentally, but it is physically.
On personal development
I think I’ve gotten better with my eyes. I’ve gotten a better feel for each game that I’ve come across. Every team has shown their different way, their different style and I feel like I’ve gotten more comfortable with each (game). It’s the halfway point and we still have some ways to go.
Davon Hamilton
On the defense
We have to focus more. I feel like we’re working hard out there but without the focus. It’s not showing our true potential.
On the midway point of the season
I feel like we’re still hungry. Obviously the last couple years we haven’t gotten to where we need to be. This year, we have a good possibility of getting there if we stay on our P’s and Q’s.
On Minnesota
(They’re a) big physical team. We haven’t faced a lot of downhill running so far this season. It’s going to be a challenge for us, especially up front.
Robert Landers
