Sandbothe to Compete for Pan American Cup Roster Spot – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Taylor Sandbothe is one of 19 athletes invited by the U.S. Women’s National Team to train and compete for a spot on the roster for the Pan American Cup, an event scheduled for June 30-July 11 in the Dominican Republic.
The 19 selected athletes are either still in college or recently completed their collegiate eligibility. Five middles set to train in Anaheim include: Sandbothe, Inky Ajanaku (Stanford), Rhamat Alhassan (Florida), Kelsie Payne (Kansas) and Lianna Sybeldon (Washington).
As this competition runs concurrently with the World Grand Prix, U.S. Women’s National Team Head Coach Karch Kiraly has named University of Pittsburgh Head Coach Dan Fisher to lead the Pan American Cup squad. Fisher served in a similar role at the 2015 Pan American Games and led the U.S. to the gold medal, beating Brazil in the championship match.
