- The win extends Ohio State’s road win streak to 20 games, the longest active streak in the nation.
- Ohio State is undefeated, 20-0, in true road games under head coach Urban Meyer.
- Meyer is now 35-13 in his career against Top 25 competition, including 14-3 at Ohio State. He also is a perfect 17-0 at Ohio State in the month of October. He improves to 7-0 in overtime games in his career.
- The victory improves Ohio State’s all-time record against Wisconsin to 58-18-5 and ups its current win streak over the Badgers to five.
- Ohio State is now 4-0 in overtime games under Meyer and 2-0 all-time in overtime games against Wisconsin. In its history Ohio State is now 9-2 in overtime games. Every overtime game under Meyer has been won by a touchdown.
- The Buckeyes surrendered their first rushing touchdown of the year with 7:54 remaining in the fourth quarter. Prior to the start of today’s game they were the only FBS team that had not allowed a rushing TD this season.
- With his three total touchdowns, Barrett (89 career TDs) broke Braxton Miller’s previous school record of 88 touchdowns responsible for.
- Barrett’s 318 yards of total offense marked the 21st time he’s gained at least 200 yards of offense and 13th time he’s had at least 300 yards. He is now one away from tying the career record of 200 yards games of total offense set by Braxton Miller (22). He extends his own record of 300-plus yards games (13).
- The 381 yards of total offense gives Barrett 7,114 yards in his career, moving him into fourth place all-time in Ohio State history. He passes Troy Smith (6,888) with his yardage total from tonight.
- Barrett became Ohio State’s all-time leader with four more TD passes in the win over Rutgers, breaking Bobby Hoying’s previous record of 57. Barrett now has 61 career TD passes.
- With 226 passing yards, Barrett became the 10th quarterback in Ohio State history with 5,000 career passing yards (5,033).
- Barrett completed 17 passes tonight, bringing his career total to 392. He now sits seventh on Ohio State’s career pass completions list, passing Mike Tomczak (376) and Steve Bellisari (386).
- Ohio State has now scored a rushing TD in 58 of 60 games coached by Urban Meyer.
- Head coach Urban Meyer has the highest winning percentage (.856) among active coaches with at least 10 years of FBS coaching experience.
- Ohio State has won 13 consecutive night games and is officially 52-23 all-time in such games (those starting after 5 p.m. local time), including records of 38-19 in road (26-10) or neutral (12-9) games.
- Wisconsin coach Paul Chryst marked the 107th different coach that Meyer has coached against. Meyer is now 92-15 in first- time coaching matchups.
- Ohio State outgained Wisconsin 239-137 in the second half and overtime. In the third quarter the Buckeyes gained 118 total yards and held the Badgers to 11.
- The four sacks by Buckeye defenders are a single-game high for 2016. Sam Hubbard, Jalyn Holmes, Tyquan Lewis, and Nick Bosa recorded QB sacks for Ohio State.
- Kicker Tyler Durbin set a season high with three field goals (25, 40 in the first half, 31 in the second half).
- Cornerback Marshon Lattimore recorded a career-best nine total tackles, topping his previous high of five.
- Linebacker Jerome Baker also set a new career high with 12 total tackles.
- The 10th time in Barrett’s career in which he has rushed for multiple touchdowns in a game.
