With the Ohio State hockey 2015-16 season nearing, get to know the Buckeyes.
Nicholas Jones is a sophomore forward for the Buckeyes and a native of Edmonton, Alberta. He played in 26 games as a freshman and had a goal and five assists for six points, along with a +4 rating, in 2014-15. An economics major, Jones was an Ohio State Scholar-Athlete as a freshman. He spent two years with the Sherwood Park Crusaders in the Alberta Junior Hockey League prior to coming to Ohio State and was a member of the all-league team after scoring a league-high 41 goals in 2013-14.

The most fun thing I did this summer was … go to Big Valley Jamboree (country music festival) with my friends from back home.
My all-time favorite summer memory is … Big Valley Jamboree.
This summer I visited … Mexico.
One thing I focused on this summer to prepare for the season was … my foot speed.
The food I would bring to a picnic is … cheese and crackers.
The games I’m most looking forward to this season are … Michigan, Miami and Bowling Green.
My favorite song to hear during warmups is … “My Body.”
My favorite part of hockey is … winning.
One summer I would like to road trip/vacation to … Europe.
This summer, my golf game … was embarrassing.
The class I’m looking forward to this semester is … accounting.
My favorite thing about the Schott is … the ice.
The best place to study on campus is … my room.
I am excited for the 2015-16 season because … it’s a fresh opportunity to make a season to remember with my teammates.
My favorite sport to play in the summer is … hockey.
The best thing about being a Buckeye is … having the opportunity to be a part of a school with such a large community throughout the world.
The Buckeyes open the season with an exhibition game Oct. 3 (8 days away), as they host Brock in Value City Arena. The regular season begins with a home-and-home series against Bowling Green Oct. 9-10, with the opening game in Columbus.
