Highlighted by Ezekiel Elliott, unanimous first-team all-conference pick by both the coaches and the media, the Buckeyes had seven defensive, six offensive and one special teams All-B1G honorees.

Ohio State and Michigan each boast a defensive unit among the nation’s best. The Wolverines rank second nationally in total defense (263.1 yards per game) and sixth in scoring defense allowing 14.9 points per game.
Meanwhile, the Silver Bullets have been nothing short of dominant this season, giving up the second fewest PPG (14.1) in the FBS. The Buckeyes rank eighth in total defense surrendering 298.0 YPG.

SENIOR DAY IN OHIO STADIUM
Saturday prior to the game against Michigan State 18 Buckeyes will be honored before their last game in Ohio Stadium.
All this group of seniors has done is put Ohio State football at the top of football programs nationwide with the best record in college football (48-3) since the start of 2012, including a national championship and a Big Ten championship in 2014, a Big Ten Conference-record 30 consecutive wins, the nation’s longest current winning streak (23 games) and road winning streak (17 games), and a program-record for wins by a senior class (48).

With 114 yards Saturday vs. Minnesota, Ezekiel Elliott climbed into fourth place on Ohio State’s all-time rushing list (3,384 career yards) surpassing Chris “Beanie” Wells.
The junior running back topped the 100-yard mark for the 14th-consecutive game (longest active FBS streak) and scored his team-leading 14th rushing touchdown of the season. Elliott is averaging 27.5 yards per score in 2015 and has five touchdown runs of 50 yards or more, which is tied for second among active FBS players.

Urban Meyer is a perfect 25-0 in games played in October and November at Ohio State.
The Buckeyes’ head coach has the highest winning percentage (.851) among active coaches and is riding a 20-game win streak for the fourth time in his career. No other FBS coach has accomplished that feat more than twice.

Senior H-back Braxton Miller holds the Ohio State record for career touchdowns responsible for (scored TDs and TD passes) with 87. The two-time Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year has 33 rushing, 52 passing and two receiving touchdowns in his Buckeye career.
Racking up 8,510 yards of total offense while donning the Scarlet & Gray, Miller needs 341 yards to pass quarterback Art Schlicther (1978-81; 8,850) for most in school history.

Ohio State features two of the Top 7 active rushers in the FBS in Braxton Miller and Ezekiel Elliott. Miller is third among active players with 3,024 rushing yards (33 touchdowns) while Elliott is seventh with 2,869 yards (28 TD).
This dynamic duo has combined for 6,073 yards rushing and 61 rushing TD in their careers, the most of any active tandem in the country.

Ohio State is ranked No. 1 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll for the 100th time in school history. Oklahoma (101) is the only other program with 100 appearances at the top spot.
Since 1936 when the AP poll was introduced, the Buckeyes have appeared in the Top 25 a total of 843 times, the most of any school.

Ohio State has previously played both Michigan and Michigan State in the same season 43 times, but 2015 will mark the first occurrence the Buckeyes will face a third opponent from The State Up North.
The Scarlet & Gray host Western Michigan at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Ohio Stadium with games to follow against Michigan State November 21 in The Horseshoe and “The Game” November 28 at Michigan Stadium.
NOTE: 1912 was the first season that the Wolverines and Spartans each appeared on Ohio State’s schedule. The Buckeyes did not face both schools in the same year again until 1951 after Michigan State joined the Big Ten Conference in 1950.

Third time’s a charm! Entering Saturday’s contest against Northern Illinois, Ohio State has scored at least three touchdowns in a nation’s-best 31-consecutive games. Baylor is next closest tallying the TD-trifecta in 18 straight contests. The Buckeyes have compiled a 28-3 record during the streak.
