Shoulder pads were a welcome sight to many Wednesday (Taylor Decker especially), as the Buckeyes suited up in Scarlet & Gray armor for the first time since the spring.
Squid To Learn Swim Move?
Linebacker Darron Lee discussed a potential early-season position switch for senior LB Joshua Perry.
“Perry? Absolutely. We call him squid for a reason. His legs and arms … he could play that (spot) for sure,” Lee said of Perry playing down on the defensive line.
“I’m a bigger guy. I’m versatile,” Perry said in response to playing on the d-line. “Whatever the coaches want me to do. I’ll be able to do.”

Slob Driven
With four returning starters from last season’s national championship team, the offensive line appears to be one of strongest and closest units on this year’s Buckeye squad.
“Coach Meyer says this is an offensive line driven team,” RG Pat Elflein said. “We take that role and embrace it. We can’t be over-confident, but we take that approach to practice every day.”
“I think they’re going to be the best group on the team,” RB Ezekiel Elliott said. “It’s how tough they are and how good they work together. I feel like I’m part of the offensive line crew.”
