Women’s Rowing
- The Buckeyes claimed an individual national title in the first varsity eight, a runner-up finish in the second varsity eight and fifth place in the first varsity four.
- In winning its third national team championship, Ohio State trails only Brown’s six titles all-time. The Buckeyes own eight top-five team finishes at the NCAA championships and six event national titles, the fourth-highest total in NCAA history.
- “It’s been amazing watching these young women grow up this season,” Ohio State head coach Andy Teitelbaum said. “Having the pressure of two consecutive titles on their backs, I could not be prouder of the way everyone on the team has responded all year. The 2V8 and varsity four set us up well today and the 1V8 brought us across the finish line. This was truly an outstanding regatta for our entire team.”
Track and Field
- The Ohio State track and field team earned another seven entries to the NCAA outdoor championships Saturday evening at the 2015 NCAA East Preliminary Round in Jacksonville, Fla. After three days of intense competition at Hodges Stadium, a total of twelve individual Buckeyes and three relay teams secured trips to the national championships next month in Eugene, Ore.
