29 from football team named an OSU Scholar-Athlete – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State Department of Athletics honored 538 student-athletes at its 48th Scholar-Athlete Banquet Monday evening in the Archie Griffin Ballroom at the Ohio Unddion with 29 of those representatives of the football team.
Five football players were honored as an OSU Scholar-Athlete for a fourth time: graduate student Darryl Baldwin, senior-to-be Jacoby Boren, graduating senior Peter Gwilym, senior-to-be Bryce Haynes and graduating senior Nik Sarac.
OSU Scholar-Athletes have an overall grade point average of 3.00 or better for the academic year. A total of 15 football players were recognized as a scholar-athlete for at least the second time, including linebacker Joe Burger, offensive guard Pat Elflein, running back Ezekiel Elliott, offensive guard Billy Price and linebacker Cam Williams.
True freshman honored with at least a 3.00 GPA this year included linebacker Kyle Berger, linebacker Dante Booker, defensive end Sam Hubbard, cornerback Marshon Lattimore, kicker Sean Nuernberger and offensive lineman Brady Taylor.
