THE GAME
Ohio State will travel to Michigan in a 12 noon (EST) game Saturday at Michigan Stadium in the 112th edition of the greatest rivalry in sports. Ohio State is 10-1 overall and 6-1 in the Big Ten Conference East Division. Michigan enters the game with a 9-2 overall record and an identical 6-1 mark in the Big Ten East.
The winner of Saturday’s game could represent the East division in the Big Ten championship game Dec. 5 in Indianapolis vs. Iowa, but only with a Penn State victory at Michigan State (3:30 p.m. ET, ESPN).
ABC will televise the Ohio State-Michigan game to a national audience with Brad Nessler, Todd Blackledge and Holly Rowe on the call.
WIN STREAKS SNAPPED
Ohio State had won 30 Big Ten regular season games in a row, a consecutive-win streak that set a new current conference landscape record. The unprecedented steak came to an end Nov. 21 with the 17-14 loss to Michigan State. Ohio State broke the previous streak of 29 consecutive wins in the ACC by Florida State from 1992-95.
By finishing 8-0 in conference play in 2014, Ohio State became the first Big Ten team since the Minnesota teams from 1933-35 to go undefeated in regularseason conference play three consecutive years. The Buckeyes also became the first Big Ten team to win every game (undefeated and untied) in Big Ten regular season games three consecutive years.
