COLUMBUS, Ohio – Life on the road resumes for Ohio State Women’s Volleyball this week, competing in two different states. It all starts with a Top-20 battle in Champaign, Ill., when the 17th-ranked Buckeyes take on #12 Illinois at 8 p.m. ET. Ohio State then heads up north to face the rival Wolverines of Michigan on Saturday at 5 p.m. ET.

FENDING OFF REVENGE
Illinois and Michigan are seeking revenge after each were handed defeats by the Buckeyes earlier this season. Ohio State swept the Wolverines just two weeks ago and won a wild affair over the Fighting Illini back on Oct. 8, seizing the final six points of the match to clinch a 16-14 fifth set.
Ohio State has dominated the all-time series with Michigan, seeking its 50th triumph over UM on Saturday. The Buckeyes have secured the `W’ in 49 of the previous 70 meetings. Meanwhile, the all-time ledger versus Illinois is much tighter with the Fighting Illini owning a 40-37 advantage.
OHIO STATE IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
The Buckeyes are slotted No. 17 in this week’s American Volleyball Coaches Association Top-25. The computer have Ohio State rated as the 25th-best team in the country according to the Ratings Percentage Index (RPI).
SETTING UP THE BUCKEYES FOR SUCCESS
Senior setter Taylor Sherwin became just the seventh player in school history to record 3,000 career assists, surpassing the milestone on Oct. 18 at Purdue. The Orlando, Fla., native has accumulated 3,209 assists. She needs just six more to move into the all-time top-5 in school history, surpassing Jen Flynn (3,213; 1996-97) and Jen Boleyn (3,214; 1994-96). Katie Virtue (1999-2002) is atop the list after setting up 5,648 assists during her illustrious career donning the Scarlet & Gray.
