Buckeyes Tied For Eighth at Landfall Tradition – Ohio State Buckeyes

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Ohio State Women’s Golf carded a 4-over 292 in the opening round of the Landfall Tradition, earning a share of eighth place in the stacked 18-team field. Sophomore Jessica Porvasnik fired a 2-under 70 and is tied for 10th on the individual leaderboard with 36 holes to play over the weekend.
Porvasnik dropped in three birdies on the front 9 and penciled in just one bogie on the day to get her 2-under result. Senior Claudia Lim posted four birdies in the round, matched by four bogies for an even-par 72 and piece of 21st place.
Sophomores Katja Pogacar and Zoe-Beth Brake both own a share of 36th place after scores of 74 (+2). Pogacar notched one birdie compared to three bogies to contribute to the team tally while Brake played as an individual and scored 3-under on the Par 5s (second-best in the field).
Senior Jan Chanpalangsri was the team’s fourth contributor, putting up a 76 (+4) for a T-59th showing. Junior Lina Aguillon rounded out the Buckeye lineup with an 81 in the opening round.
