Ohio State volleyball falls to Michigan State for first loss of the season

The No. 13 Ohio State women’s volleyball team started its season by winning 13 straight matches, including a four set victory over then-No. 10 Michigan. The team’s winning streak came to a halt when the Buckeyes fell to No. 15 Michigan State in three straight sets.

Early goal dooms Ohio State women’s soccer against Purdue

As some fans of the Ohio State women’s soccer team were still finding their seats, Purdue’s junior forward Alex Hairston scored just 31 seconds into the game. Hairston’s goal would prove to be the only one of the match from either side as the Boilermakers defeated OSU 1-0 Sunday afternoon.

Men’s soccer loses Big Ten opener at Indiana, 2-0

The Ohio State men’s soccer team (2-5-2, 0-1) opened Big Ten conference play on a rainy Sunday, losing to Indiana by a score of 2-0. Two first-half goals were all it took for the Hoosiers to give OSU its third consecutive loss.

Ohio State wins game, loses key starter Bryant to injury

The Ohio State football team earned its first Big Ten win of the season Saturday, beating Wisconsin 31-24 behind four touchdown passes from junior quarterback Braxton Miller. Going 1-0 in the conference came at a price, though, as the Buckeyes (5-0) lost senior safety Christian Bryant late in the game to an ankle injury.

Braxton Miller’s return lifts Ohio State over Wisconsin

Returning from injury, (Braxton) Miller asserted himself as OSU’s starting quarterback, playing all 68 offensive snaps. He threw for 198 yards and four touchdowns in what was his first game action since spraining the MCL in his left knee against San Diego State Sept. 7.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Last Saturday, Ohio State put on its show, from rivalry uniforms to LeBron James to the return of Braxton Miller, in a 31-24 primetime win over Wisconsin. This Saturday the show belongs to Northwestern, with the Buckeyes as the guests.
