COLUMBUS, Ohio – Q: How can one fan communicate with roughly 106,000 fellow Buckeye faithful inside Ohio Stadium … and across the college football national conversation?
A: #TheShoe
This season – starting at the home opener vs. Buffalo at noon Saturday – fans in Ohio Stadium will have the chance to see their tweets shared on the east and west ribbon boards on the face of C-Deck.
Utilizing the gameday hashtag #TheShoe, Buckeye fans can submit their tweets for selection and potential display on the boards.
Yes, football head coach Urban Meyerdid just start a Twitter account, but don’t expect many in-game updates from him. He’ll be a tad busy. So, feel free to interact with the @Brutus_Buckeye account, the No. 1 mascot account in the country, during the game and follow game updates at @OhioStAthletics.
In addition to tweets, fans also can use #TheShoe to submit Instagram photos for periodic placement on the main scoreboard in the south endzone. Yes, the one that is more than 100 feet wide!
As always, #GoBucks is the official hashtag of Ohio State athletics, but we thought all would agree gameday in Ohio Stadium was more than worthy of its own hashtag.
