Six More Buckeyes Earn Degrees Sunday – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Six more members of the undefeated 2012 Ohio State Buckeye football team received their undergraduate degrees Sunday during commencement exercises held at Ohio Stadium. President Barack Obama presented the commencement address to 10,143 graduates, including 111 student-athletes. Obama is the third sitting president to deliver a commencement address at Ohio State. George W. Bush spoke to spring quarter graduates in 2002 and Gerald Ford spoke to summer quarter graduates in 1974.
Buckeye football players graduating Sunday with bachelor’s degrees were:
- Zach Boren – sports and leisure studies
- Dalton Britt – criminology
- Adam Homan – exercise science
- Travis Howard – family resource management
- Orhian Johnson – sports and leisure studies
- Ross Oltorik – communications
Another former player – Mike Collins, a four-year letterman from 1998-01 who was a three-year starter along the defensive line and a team captain in 2001 – graduated with a degree in sociology through the Department of Athletics’ degree completion program.
A total of 14 players who were seniors on the 2012 team have now graduated. The complete list follows.
