A squad Coach Woody Hayes called “the best team we ever put together, probably the best team that ever played college football,” reeled off an OSU-record, 22 consecutive wins from 1967 through 1969.
Led by quarterback Rex Kern and halfback Jim Otis, the Buckeyes won the 1969 Big Ten Championship, outscoring their opponents by nearly 300 points (383-93) over the course of the season. The team averaged 42.5 points per games, the most in school history.
