On January 3, BTN will debut a powerful new original series called Impact the World, which shifts the focus from the playing field to the world stage, where Big Ten professors and students are making their presence known. Impact will take viewers on a journey around the world to illustrate how breakthroughs at all 12 Big Ten universities are improving lives. The actor Dennis Haysbert is hosting the series. Jesse Owens: Enduring Spirit chronicles the life and times of a Big Ten icon. This 30 minute documentary takes a look back at the trials and triumphs of one of Ohio State University’s greatest athletes. Interviews featuring Bill Cosby, Archie Griffin, and Stephanie Hightower. Jesse Owens: Enduring Spirit premieres January 3rd at 9pm EST, and will air again on Jan. 4 at 2pm EST, on the Big Ten Network (check local listings.)
