Construction Update on Ohio State Facilities – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Three Ohio State outdoor facilities, including Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium, Bill Davis Stadium and the Outdoor Varsity Tennis Center are currently undergoing construction this summer as part of the Outdoor Sports Complex Project.
Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium grass field replacement:
? Under drain work complete
? Sprinkler install complete
? Conduits under the field for tack timing complete
? Root zone install will finish Tuesday this week
? Final grade for sod will finish Wednesday of this week
? Eight refrigerated sod trucks will arrive Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week and be installed
? Track protection will be removed and track area cleaned the week of July 25th
Bill Davis Stadium playing field replacement:
? Field removal complete
? Soil removal complete
? Under drains complete
? Install of the stone base will commence this week
? Install of the fines will follow
? Survey of the base will follow
? Install of the turf will follow
Outdoor Varsity Tennis Center:
? Site utilities were re-routed – complete
? New utilities runs to the new buildings at tennis complete
? Storm sewer work 50%
? Masonry at 95% for the new building at tennis
? Ticket building slab poured
? Drainage for the tennis courts progressing
? Base stone for tennis to follow
? Carriers set for the ticket building for plumbing
? Continue with waste and vent lines
