Three Buckeyes Earn Big Ten Honors – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Three members of the Ohio State women’s soccer team garnered Big Ten postseason awards, the conference office announced Tuesday. Danielle Scoliere was named a first team All-Big Ten defender while Danica Wu earned second team All-Big Ten honors as a midfielder and Liz Sullivan was Ohio State’s Big Ten sportsmanship award honoree.
Scoliere, a senior co-captain from Dublin, Ohio, has started every game this season, playing the second-most minutes of any Buckeye. The three-time OSU Scholar-Athlete and two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection has tallied a goal and an assist as an outside back while helping anchor one of the best defenses in the Big Ten this season.
Wu, a sophomore from Edmonton, Alberta, has started every game but one this season, scoring two goals and adding a pair of assists. The award is the second Big Ten honor for Wu after garnering All-Freshman team laurels last season.
A senior co-captain from Powell, Ohio, Sullivan has started every game on the back line this season. A three-time OSU Scholar-Athlete and two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree, Sullivan has scored a goal and added an assist this season.
The No. 7 seed Buckeyes take on No. 2 seed Illinois in the first round of the Big Ten tournament at 2:30 p.m. ET Wednesday in Evanston, Ill.
