Buckeyes Drop 2-0 Decision At Michigan State – Ohio State Buckeyes

The Ohio State women’s soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision in Big Ten action Sunday afternoon at Michigan State.
After a scoreless first half, Michigan State scored back to back goals in the 75th and 76th minute. The first was scored by Hannah Peterson, finishing off a pass from Laura Heyboer to Megan Pines. A minute later, Heyboer connected with a penalty kick goal.
Michigan State outshot Ohio State by a 14-9 margin. In goal, Buckeye goalkeeper Katie Baumgardner recorded four saves.
Ohio State is now 9-8-1 and 4-5-1 in Big Ten competition. The Buckeyes host Indiana next Sunday on Senior Day at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. Michigan State is now 13-5-0 overall and 6-4-0 in the Big Ten.
