Wimmers Tabbed Big Ten Pitcher of the Week
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Alex Wimmers’ complete game, 14-strikeout performance in the Buckeyes’ 7-1 win over Indiana Friday earned him his second Big Ten Pitcher of the Week honor of 2010, the conference office announced Monday. – MORE –

Jeff Tundo Nabs Third ECAC Rookie of the Week Accolade COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State attackman Jeff Tundo has picked up back-to-back ECAC Lacrosse League Rookie of the Week honors after a career-high five assists and points vs. Hobart last week. Ohio State Sweeps Bowling Green, 4-0 and 10-0, Wednesday COLUMBUS, Ohio – Behind two strong performances on the mound and solid defense overall, the No. 20 Ohio State softball team (24-11, 3-1 Big Ten) swept in-state foe Bowling Green, 4-0 and 10-0 (5), Wednesday night at Buckeye Field. Zerhusen Sets Record in Ohio State’s 20-5 Win Over Cincinnati COLUMBUS, Ohio – Brittney Zerhusen finished with an Ohio State first-half record 10 points off five goals and five assists, leading the No. 19 women’s lacrosse team to a resounding win, 20-5, over Cincinnati Wednesday evening at Nippert Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio. Eleven players scored for the Buckeyes (8-4), including the redshirt junior Zerhusen who broke the record for points in a half that had previously stood at eight set during the 1996 season by Mara Simpson. – MORE –
