WTAP.com – Ohio State’s head football coach, Jim Tressel, has given 11-year-old Nathan Lewis an authentic, signed Ohio State football helmet. Tressel sent the helmet to Nathan’s church with a note saying that he was sorry to hear about everything he and his family have been through.

The Columbus Dispatch – Ohio State’s Buckeye Bullet 2 team, which developed a hydrogen fuel-cell powered racer, eclipsed its own international speed record today with speeds near 300 miles per hour while racing in Utah. The Bullet’s 299.91 mph speed, which still has to be certified by the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile before it can be called an official record, far surpasses the group’s 2007 record of 132.129 mph set in the original Buckeye Bullet car.

The first New York City Marathon had been a hot one on that September day in 1970, and the 22-year-old Pusztay had never imagined that four hilly laps of the park could be so brutal. As a distance runner at Ohio State, he had heard about the race from his local track club and figured it might be worth getting a couple of marathons under his belt. So he packed his gear and made the drive.
