Brett Rybak has joined the Ohio State Athletics Communications staff as an intern, Dan Wallenberg, Assistant Athletics Director for Communications, announced Tuesday. Rybak comes to Ohio State from Florida International University, after also previously working at Otterbein College. He started in his new position Monday.
“We are fortunate to have Brett join our staff,” Wallenberg said. “As an Ohio native and former baseball student-athlete, he has a solid background in athletics and the history of Ohio State. His experience at Florida International and as a former volunteer at Ohio State events made him an ideal candidate for the position.”
Rybak will be working primarily with baseball, women’s soccer and men’s lacrosse. While at FIU, he worked as the contact for women’s basketball and women’s soccer and was the secondary contact for the baseball team.
Rybak is a 2008 graduate of Otterbein College where he lettered two years for the baseball team and worked for four years as a sports information student assistant. He did his student internship in the athletics communications office at Ohio State during his senior year at Otterbein.
