Junior looks for full recovery from foot injury in 2008-09 season … “Only five months until the first game …”
It could be said that David Lighty’s high-moment and low-moment for the 2008-09 season met one another in the span of just several hours last Dec. 17 at Value City Arena.
The junior from Cleveland, Ohio, had just led the Buckeyes past eventual Atlantic Sun conference champ Jacksonville, 81-68, with a game-high 21 points and team-best four assists.
There was not much postgame celebration though as Lighty learned he had fractured his foot during the game and would, in the end, need the entire season to mend.
Monday, Lighty, who received a medical redshirt for last season, met with media members to give an update on his recovery progress and to look ahead to next year.
