The Ohio State men’s hockey team earned an at-large berth in the 2009 NCAA Men’s Hockey Championship and will travel to Manchester, N.H., for the Northeast Regional at Verizon Wireless Arena this weekend. – MORE –

MHKY: Buckeyes Earn Spot in NCAA Tournament Field The Ohio State men’s hockey team is one of 10 at-large selections to the 2009 NCAA Ice Hockey Championship, the NCAA announced Sunday live on ESPN2. The Buckeyes head to the Northeast Regional at Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, N.H., where they will take on No. 1 seed Boston University in the first round at 5:30 p.m. Saturday live on ESPN2. – MORE –
BASE: 18-3 Buckeyes One-hit No. 2 Miami; Win 7-1 A trio of Ohio State pitchers, led by starter and winner Alex Wimmers (now 5-0), one-hit the No. 2 Miami Hurricanes and the Buckeye bats did more than enough to secure a 7-1 victory Tuesday before 1,755 fans at Alex Rodriguez Park. Ohio State, ranked 16th in the Collegiate Baseball poll, improves to 18-3 with the win while Miami, No. 2 in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association poll, falls to 18-5. – MORE –
