11 Buckeyes Named to Steele’s All-Big Ten Team – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Eleven Buckeyes were named Monday as part of Phil Steele’s 2009 Postseason All-Big Ten Team. Four Buckeyes were honored on the offensive side of the ball and seven were named on defense.
Offensive lineman Justin Boren, punt returner Ray Small, linebacker Ross Homan and safety Kurt Coleman were first team selections.
Four Buckeyes were named second team: running back Brandon Saine, receiver DeVier Posey, defensive lineman Cameron Heyward and linebacker Brian Rolle.
Third team accolades went to defensive lineman Thaddeus Gibson and cornerbacks Devon Torrence and Chimdi Chekwa.
Boren, Saine, Homan, Coleman, Heyward and Gibson were selected All-Big Ten last month by both the coaches and the media while Chekwa was honored by the coaches. In addition, Coleman was named a Big Ten Sportsmanship Award honoree.
