Ohio State Football Award Winners – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State football coaching staff has selected its weekly award winners for outstanding play in Saturday’s 45-0 shutout of New Mexico State.
Linebacker Ross Homan, with seven tackles and an interception, is the defensive player of the week. Receiver Dane Sanzenbacher, with two touchdown catches, is the offensive player of the week. Donnie Evege, with three key tackles, is the player of the week on the special units.
Jake Ballard was named as the Jim Parker lineman of the week. Anderson Russell received the Attack Force award on defense. The Jack Tatum big hit of the week has not been decided.
Players of the week on the scout teams: Kenny Guiton (offense); Grant Dziak (defense); Joe Gantz (special units).
No. 12 Ohio State (7-2/4-1) visits No. 10 Penn State (8-1/4-1) Saturday in a 3:30 p.m. game that will be televised by ABC.
