Buckeyes Set for Garden Party
Ohio State last faced North Carolina, California and Syracuse during the 2007-08 season. The Buckeyes and Tar Heels have met 11 times with North Carolina owning a 9-2 overall record, including wins in the last four meetings. The teams recently completed a home-and-home series as part of the annual Big Ten/ACC Challenge. The Buckeyes fell 66-55 vs. No. 1 North Carolina in Columbus Nov. 11, 2007 in the most recent meeting. – MORE –

Turner Shares Big Ten Player of the Week Evan Turner earns a share of the weekly honor after posting his second-consecutive double-double of the season, including a triple-double performance while helping the Buckeyes open the 2009-10 campaign in dominating fashion last week. The junior guard tallied 14 points, 17 rebounds and 10 assists in Monday’s 100-60 win over Alcorn State – the first triple-double effort in Big Ten annals since Illinois’ Sergio McClain accomplished the feat on January 13, 2001. – MORE –
