Buckeyes Recognize LeBron James Wednesday
COLUMBUS, Ohio-The Ohio State Department of Athletics and it’s men’s basketball program recognized Ohio’s own LeBron James during pregame ceremonies at the preseason NBA game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston Celtics Wednesday at Value City Arena. – MORE –

Men’s Basketball Previews 2009-10 Season COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s basketball team took part in the annual media day festivities Thursday at Value City Arena. The Buckeyes are ranked among the Top 25 teams nationally in several preseason publications. The team officially begins practice at 6 p.m. Friday. – MORE –
Men’s Basketball Ticket Packages Now On Sale Ohio State men’s basketball non-conference single game tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday.Four-game mini-plans, which include two games from Group One and two games from Group Two (see below) also will go on sale Monday. The price for the four-game package starts at $88. Fans interested in the four-game mini-plan should call 614-292-0043 for available games. This plan offers fans the earliest opportunity to purchase tickets to Big Ten games. – MORE –

Former Buckeye Daequan Cook Receives NBA Community Service Award NEW YORK – Miami Heat guard Daequan Cook has been named the recipient of the NBA Cares Community Assist Award for the 2009 offseason in recognition of his outstanding efforts in the community and for his ongoing philanthropic and charitable work. Cook is being honored, in part, for the support that he provided to an Ohio family who lost their son in a tragic accident last summer. – MORE –
