DEFENSIVE NOTES
• OSU has held opponents to fewer than 21 points 46 times since 2006, the best among FBS teams. Ohio State is 43-3 in those games. • Ohio State has allowed only seven 100-yard rushers since the start of the 2005 season (60 games). That mark is the best among FBS schools over that span. • Ohio State has not allowed a 100-yard rusher over its past 18 games, the second-longest streak in the nation. Alabama is first at 27 games. • Ohio State’s defense has allowed just seven touchdowns over its past 27 quarters of play coming into Saturday. • Senior defensive back Kurt Coleman recorded his 200th career tackle Saturday. He finished the day with four tackles. • Thaddeus Gibson recorded a career-high three sacks, the fifth most on Ohio State’s single-game list.
